How I Got Here - Jennifer Osborne
Updated: Oct 28, 2021

I had the great fortune of meeting Jen over 5 years ago, and what struck me at the time was her energy, passion and positivity - she's someone you just WANT to be around! Her enthusiasm for pushing herself professionally and supporting those around her hasn't waned, and it's been a delight to sit on the sidelines and watch Jen navigate changes in her life and career with a sense of purpose and focus. I really hope you enjoy our chat with Jen this month.
What is your current role, and how does it fulfil you?
I am the Co-Founder and current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bayleaf Wellness – a holistic and integrative medical practice operating from the beautiful Harp Village precinct in Kew.
Bayleaf is my passion and was born out of a lifetime of careers in the health and wellbeing and education sector. The ability to provide a health and wellbeing service for people of all ages, fitness levels, and health conditions is a dream come true using a truly collaborative and integrated approach to healthcare.
What fulfils me is the ability to make a meaningful difference to other people that will increase their happiness, connection, wellbeing, and longevity. I thrive on variety and innovation and am always looking for new strategies to enhance the human journey with a great team of dedicated health professionals.
What career decisions and experience led you to where you are today
‘Follow your bliss,’ by Joseph Campbell, has always been my mantra. My career decisions have always been underpinned by this one saying.
Every career decision I have made has been following my bliss and has led me to a plethora of experiences that I would not trade for the world that have contributed to the person that I am today. If you follow your bliss and your passion, the experiences that you gather along the way will assist you in being able to monetise your dreams. Don’t be afraid of failing, and as your confidence grows and you lean into what you love, you will find ways to make it happen.
The rest of the quote is… ‘Follow your bliss, and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.’
What’s the one piece of advice you’d give someone wanting to end up where you have?
‘In the game of tennis, you win by keeping your eye on the ball – not your opponent!!’
Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing, keep your eye on your own game, and don’t let anyone distract you from your vision.
Be Fabulous
